Wines to swirl, sniff and sip

Up to 40 East End winemakers are expected to participate in HARVEST 2012, showcasing a total of  more than 200 world-class still, sparkling and dessert wines at this grand tasting. Barrel samples will be available for sipping, years before the wines will be commercially available. Long Island offers all your favorite vinis vinifera wines, plus a few lesser-known European varietals, in an elegant, food-friendly style all our own. (See the column at right for participating wineries; list is in development.)

Up to 30 of our region’s best chefs will cook up tasty, ultra-local creations in partnership with East End purveyors—farmers, fishermen, cheesemakers and more. (See list at right; list is in development.) The Festival Tasting truly is a celebration of our  Fall harvest—the bounty of our seas, skies and farms.
